The young Jaweed leads a clandestine existence as an illegal immigrant in The Netherlands. Back in Afghanistan, his family are kept in their eager belief that Jaweed is living a promised life, and carry on projecting all their hopes and desires onto him. While roaming the streets at night with his friend, Koshan, Jaweed tries to find his place in the underground hip hop culture.
