The film is set with a girl lifelessly floating face down in the water. Though a series of retroversions the circumstances of how she got there are brought to light. She has been battling with the concept of beauty her entire life to the point where it led her to distance herself from her friends and family and eventually led her to the water she is found in at the beginning of the film. She is saved in an almost supernatural way by her best friend and once she is pulled out of the water, she is finally able to understand the true nature of beauty.
