Alléluia

Alléluia (2012)

They are 19 to 24 years old. One was addicted to online video games. Another was a womanizer. Now they have all decided to become Dominican monks. Alleluia follows their unique stories throughout their long years as novices. It documents daily life in their small, isolated community, and draws power from the openness and intelligence of four young men who have voluntarily disconnected from a world that each wants to change in his own way. Never shying away from sensitive topics, they share their thoughts on society and the Church, and talk frankly about the challenges and prejudices they have faced since making their decision. A thoughtful look at the presence and relevance of religion in the present day.
