In 2008, Troy Crowder, an ex-NHL enforcer, went to Afghanistan to support the Canadian Troops and play some ball hockey with them. Ultimately, this trip would become life-changing for Troy. He witnessed the striking similarities and connection that hockey enforcers and the armed forces share. Since then he has returned almost every year after, selflessly dedicating himself to raising awareness about PTSD and helping Canadian veterans and their families adjust to life after war.
