Of Memory and Los Sures is a series of animated, micro documentary films using oral histories of longtime residents of Los Sures - or the South Streets, a North Brooklyn neighborhood of historically Puerto Rican families. The stories of these residents reflect the changes of the neighborhood over decades and the fading of the name and identity of 'Los Sures.' The style of the fim reflects the multi-generational and multi-ethnic touchstones of the Los Sures experience by creating a visually dense collage of hand-drawn sketches, old photos, maps and illustrations, a layered mosaic of moments and memories.
