OurStory: Six Sisters of the Stolen Generation' is a 45 minute documentary about an Australian indigenous family of the town of Moora - the Warrells. We experience their warmth and humor and become friends with them. Then, woven in between their love for family and their fight to retain their culture, hear their tragic childhood memories of being taken from their families and raised with cruelty in an aboriginal mission. Finally, taking them back to the Benedictine mission, some for the first time, reveals that on it's new walls as a museum their personal stories are at best whitewashed, at worst, completely absent. Though at times deeply emotional, the documentary is also a heartwarming story of humanity and family.
