A full-length documentary film that tracks large and small research animals from their miserable existence at a medical school or pharmaceutical testing lab kennel to safe haven at a 1000-acre former agricultural ranching operation, now called Kindness Ranch for rehabilitation, re-socialization rather than being euthanized. Kindness Ranch provides lab animals a new vibrant life either living out their days in the wide open spaces or adopted out to a caring home. As attention is raised about laboratory and research animal welfare issues, Kindness Ranch hopes that it will one day be put out of business as consumers make better choices when selecting animal-friendly food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
