In a world where goose bumps are a rare, pure, genuine and involuntary reaction of the body to excitement, Shelly does not make light of the meaning of its appearance on her skin. When she meets Ben she believes he gives her goose bumps. But after a while, Shelly's bodily manifestations changes drastically and not only do the goose bumps not appear because of him, but her body stats to act strangely. Now she must stop letting her body make the decisions and start deciding for herself.
