Giving is the story of Lewis Taylor, an icon in his own mind who sets out to do something creative, something good. After he is inspired by a giant street-art mural, Lewis is gripped by an artistic drive which causes him to run away and start work on his piece, leaving his girlfriend Josie standing in open-mouthed astonishment. What follows is a look at the importance of intention in art and the difficulty of getting outside yourself as the centre of the universe in order to see the water in which you swim.
